Body Composition Scales Review

Health and weight management are challenging for us single dads to get on top of. Now, more than ever, running a household and a business, we are forced to juggle a hundred different challenges at any time. Time poor often means that our own requirements take a back seat. But they shouldn’t. Our health is essential. It is important to us personally, but it is also vital for the family. A physically and mentally good-shape dad is a dad who can fully engage with his kids. This is where having some body composition scales can really help.

Taking care of our health now pays dividends down the road. We are in this for the long haul, after all.

Keeping on top of fitness can be difficult. Now we are fortunate to have a range of gadgets and technologies that can assist us in leading a better, healthier life.

One of those technological wonders is the FITINDEX Body Composition Monitors High Precision Weighing Scale with Smartphone App.

The FITINDEX Body Composition Scales looks like a premium set of simple bathroom scales. The black glass with the grey colour scheme is discreet and able to blend in with a wide range of bathroom décor, enabling the FITINDEX to sit subtly in a corner and not command attention.

When you stand on the FITINDEX, the LCD screen lights up in bright large red letters for easy reading.

I’m not one of the heaviest users that such a monitor has ever encountered. I was still significant at 134kg when I first stepped on them. But they are rated up to 180 kg.

The scales come with a smartphone app which you download and register with. You can set a target weight and body fat goal and track your progression.

Once set up, the scales can track 13 Body Composition Measurements listed below.

Body Weight, Body Fat Percentage, BMI, Fat-free Body Weight, Body Water Percentage, Skeletal Muscle, Subcutaneous Fat, Visceral Fat, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, Protein, BMR, Metabolic Age

I have found the scales to be accurate. It had allowed me, an obese dad, when I first stepped on the scales to target my weight loss and my muscle gains to dramatically lower my weight and body fat. Whilst giving me a clear picture that my muscle mass has increased.

I am now in the acceptable range on the body fat scale and only overweight, not obese.

As I continue to use these scales, I will update this review. This affordable kit links to my health app on my iPhone, where I log my training and weight loss.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored ad, and I was not gifted the product. I paid for this with my own hard-earned cash to assist me with my weight loss.
